Kanchanaburi is an historic, small provincial town, located in western Thailand along the Burmese border.
Well known for its Thai Burmese Railway Center and war sanctuaries, the place was immortalized by the British American film “The Bridge on the River Kwai”. This popular film highlighted the bravery of British POW’s held captive under the harshest conditions by the Japanese army, forced to build a bridge over the Khwae Yai river to connect Thailand to Burma.

Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in luxurious tented accommodation at the Hintok River Camp, close to the Khwae Yai river and the Saiyok National Park.
